Essential Oil Solid Perfume Locket





  • 1 Tbsp. beeswax
  • 3 Tbsp. jojoba oil
  • 1 vitamin E capsules, or 3–4 drops (optional)
  • ~5 ml essential oils, or 90–120 drops


  1. Pack grated beeswax or beeswax pellets into a the measuring spoon until packed level with the top. Dump the beeswax into a heat-proof glass measuring cup.
  2. Add 3 Tbsp. jojoba oil to the beeswax.
  3. Place the measuring cup in a large sauce pan filled with 1" of hot water.
  4. Place the sauce pan and measuring cup on the stove, and turn the burner on low.
  5. Stir the mixture in the measuring cup with a craft stick or bamboo skewer every couple of minutes until the beeswax is completely melted (about 15–20 minutes).
  6. Turn off the stove, and carefully remove the measuring cup from the pan. Place the measuring cup on a towel on a counter-top or table.
  7. If desired, stir in the contents of 1 capsule of vitamin E (~3–4 drops liquid vitamin E).
  8. Allow the mixture to cool slightly, and then stir in essential oils. Note: You may find it easier to premeasure the essential oil in another container and add it all at once.
  9. Quickly pour the mixture into the lockets. This recipe will fill 3–4 lockets, depending on size.
  10. Allow mixture to cool for several hours before wearing the locket. To use, take a small amount of the solid perfume from the locket with your finger, and rub it onto pulse points on the wrists or neck.
