The following is an excerpt from the chapter "Personal Guide" from the Reference Guide for Essential Oils by Connie and Alan Higley
Insomnia: Angelica, Basil, Bergamot*, Chomomile (Roman; small amount), Citrus Fresh, Clary Sage, Cypress*, Lavender*, Lemon, Marjoram*, Myrtle* (for hormone related insomnia), Neroli, Nutmeg (small amount), Orange*, Peace and Calming, Petitgrain, Ravensara*, Rosalina, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Valerian, Ylang Ylang*. BLEND #1: Combine 6 Citrus Fresh with 6 Lavender or 6 Peace & Calming. Apply blend to big toes, bottom of feet, 2 drops around navel, 3 drops on back of neck. BLEND #2: 2 Chomomile, 6 Geranium, 3 Lemon, and 4 Sandalwood. Mix together and add 6 drops in your bath at bedtime and 5 drops with 2 tsp. V-6 Mixing Oil for a massage after bath. FOR CHILDREN: 12 months to 5 years- Chomomile (Roman), Lavender; 5 to 12 years- Clary Sage, Geranium, Rosalina, Ylang Ylang (infection). * indicates French medicinal usage.
