| What is far infrared?
Far infrared is part of the light spectrum that is emitted by the sun. Although you cannot see far infrared rays with your eyes, you can feel it gently warming your skin. We, as humans, also emit far infrared in the 8-10 micron wavelength range. This is what causes a room full of people to quickly become warm.
The gentle warming action of far infrared helps increase blood flow by promoting capillary expansion. This increased blood flow helps to decrease muscle spasms and soreness, and helps to reduce swelling and inflammation by improving lymphatic flow.
While far infrared has been researched in parts of asia for over 20 years, its unique benefits are just starting to be discovered by the rest of the world.
How does the HotHouse produce far infrared?
The HotHouse uses a special silicon coated surface manufactured in New Mexico to generate far infrared rays. The normal human body temperature is 98.6 degrees. Much of our body heat is typically radiated away as far infrared at the 8-10 micron wavelength. The special surface of the HotHouse mimics the far infrared naturally produced by the body by producing Far Infrared Rays between 8 and 10 microns, matching the radiant energy leaving the body and allowing as much as 99 percent to be absorbed below the surface of the skin. Through this principle of using complementary rays, the absorption of radiant energy stimulates the blood flow throughout your whole body and energizes your metabolism. Using far infrared rays form the complimentary 8-10 micron wavelength is best for the body's overall comfort.
The HotHouse also features a unique arch design that allows the user to lie down comfortably under the HotHouse, while still maximizing its effects on the target area.
HotHouse Features:
- Special silicon-crystal-coated surface. This allows the hothouse to send far infrared rays in many directions to gently warm the body, yet the surface does not get dangerously hot (although, as with any heat source, prolonged contact with the surface may cause burning).
- Specially designed screen. This special screen covers the silicon surface to further minimize any possibility of burns through accidental prolonged contact with that surface. This screen has also been specially designed so that it does not interfere with any of the far infrared rays coming from the surface, so you still get the total effect!

Included arm rests. The HotHouse also comes standard with two arm rests that allow you to turn the HotHouse on its side, and to sit comfortably with your arms rested on the HotHouse so you can read, type, or watch a movie on TV while the far infrared from the HotHouse gently warms your lower back.

Easy to operate. Just plug in the HotHouse, turn it on, and set the timer for the desired amount of time. You can then lie down and relax while the HotHouse gently warms you.

How to use the HotHouse
Use the HotHouse for up to 15-60 minutes at a time, twice daily. Simply put it in position, plug it in, turn the switch on, and set the timer for the desired amount of time. You will then experience warmth and comfort, similar to the feeling you get from a good massage. Use it on a regular basis. A very slight reddening of the skin is normal.
